Paddington’s

Paddington’s bed and breakfast guest house is one of the original old houses of the Hout Bay valley. Although it was renovated by the present owners four years ago, most of the original old beams, doors and windows were retained so that it lost none of its rural charm and character.

Paddington’s has two downstairs en-suites, one with a huge free standing bath and the other with shower. From the front en suite you can lie in bed in the morning and watch the fishing boats head out of the harbour. Both rooms are decorated with bright, colourful fabrics, enormous beds and antique furniture. A third upstairs en-suite with shower has twin beds and its own private balcony. This room has amazing views of the bay and valley.

There is a spacious Mediterranean style garden planted with olives, lemons, lavender and vines. There are many shady spots where you can sit, and look over the bay. The heated spa pool is on a private upper terrace and it too has lovely views over the bay and harbour.

A full breakfast is served on the verandah. Here there is also a small fridge where guests can chill that special bottle of sauvignon blanc.
