This stylish 1830 homestead is centrally situated in the heart of the port capital of South Africa, Calitzdorp, overlooking port vineyards and within walking distance of all the wineries, galleries, shops and the museum in town.
This thatch roof homestead in Karoo and Victorian architecture has large vine-covered patios, where you can enjoy the Karoo sunsets, scrumptious dinners and breakfasts. Relax in the lush garden and fragrant rose garden or by the large sparkling pool.
We also have accommodation for disabled guests. Cosy fireplaces help to warm cold winter nights. Ample secure off-street parking is available for the guests. English, German, Dutch and Afrikaans spoken.
Home cooked meals are made from local and predominantly organic produce. We also cater for vegetarians and special dietary requirements or intolerances. We have a full liquor license and have a comprehensive selection of local wines and ports available.

From Cape Town. On entering Calitzdorp on Route 62, turn right into Van Riebeeck Street. At the bottom of Van Riebeeck Street, turn right into Queen Street, and The Port Wine Guest House is towards the bottom of Queen Street, on your left. Parking can be accessed to the right of the Guest House.
From Oudtshoorn. On entering Calitzdorp on Route 62, turn left into Van Riebeeck Street. At the bottom of Van Riebeeck Street, turn right into Queen Street, and The Port Wine Guest House is towards the bottom of Queen Street, on your left. Parking can be accessed to the right of the Guest House.
