Makinky Manzi (meaning something different at the water) is ideally situated in the Waterval district of Swartruggens, just 50 km from Rustenburg and 40 km from Sun City.
Makinky Manzi is an extraordinarily beautiful bush game farm with a large variety of birds, wildlife, grasslands, hills, cliffs and the most fascinating waterfall which features a large water hole; in the summer one can dive into this and enjoy romantic sunsets, swims and sundowners. During winter there is a fireplace in the Thabile Hall where wonderful memories can be shared over a bottle of wine!
With 7 spacious en-suite chalets (each sleeping up to 5 guests) and 3 large luxurious safari tents, the owners and staff of Makinky Manzi go out of their way to make your stay something you will never forget. The accommodation is stylish with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and they love to treat guests to farm style breakfasts and dinners - or you can also enjoy a pure South African braai around the Boma.
Aside from the stylish accommodation and game drives Makinky Manzi also specialise in weddings with ceremonies at the waterfall and the reception in the Thabile venue “place of happiness”.
Conferences, team building, festivals, church camps, family weekends, special birthdays, Sunday lunches, quad tracks, functions and year end functions. Makinky Manzi will devise a package and cater for a wide variety of needs.
The Bush Place Palace at the waterfall comes with restrooms and table seating for up-to 20 guests and chair seating for up to 30 guests.
Thabile Hall (Place of Happiness) comes with a porch, two fire places, restrooms, catering, table seating for up to 150 guests and chair seating for up to 200 guests.
Corlia, the owner, really loves to spoil people and the only one downfall is that once you’ve experienced the hospitality, cuisine and bush atmosphere - you may never want to leave!
