Only 2.5 hours from Johannesburg, the child friendly 4 Star rated Misty Valley Lodge is located a few kilometres above Waterval Boven, on one of the highest lying farms in Mpumalanga. It is part of the Highland Meander, where surroundings of unspoiled forest and mountain scenery will make each stay a memorable one.

Misty Valley Lodge caters for the whole family and we have endless activities to keep you entertained. Our children’s play area is our pride and joy. Trampolines, jungle gyms, swings, treasure hunts, cookie bakes and a whole lot more will keep your precious bundles entertained. Prior arrangements will ensure a well-trained and competent babysitter to look after your kids.

The Lodge Chalets are comfortable and convenient, fully furnished and have both a double bed and a sleeper couch.

The Lakeside Chalets are double storey, perfect for families or groups of friends. The units are totally self-sufficient with fully equipped kitchens and a wonderful barbeque area.

Our unique log cabins overlook one of our shimmering trout dams, with spectacular views of the distant mountains of Swaziland. These units can be split up into self catering and family units.

All units have DSTV. Coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits. Soaps and accessories. Extra blankets. Heaters. Hangers. Hair dryer. Towels. Fire place & braai: A complimentary bundle of wood, coal and firelighters are supplied. Swimming towels are available at reception.

We also have a fully equipped conference venue fitted with under floor heating and a cosy fireplace where we cater for up to 100 delegates.

We cater for weddings and have a gazebo with roses lining the walkway and beautiful photographic settings.

Follow the N4 from Witbank towards Belfast, turn right at Machadodorp. Take the Badplaas road (R541). After 13 km turn left on the Slaaihoek road, continue for a further 12 km and turn right at Misty Valley Lodge.
