Nestled between the mountains on the eastern highlands of Mpumalanga, your hosts Arthur and Drinie Alant wish to welcome you to the convenient and charming luxury country accommodation, four kilometres off the Maputo Corridor (N4), two and a half hours from Johannesburg.
The three luxury, self catering cottages accommodate 22 people altogether and are situated in delightfully manicured gardens.They offer a panoramic view over the rolling hills, valleys and forests. All cottages are fully equipped and serviced. Milk, towels and linen are supplied. There is satellite TV in all the cottages - SABC channels only, bring your own decoder and card for DSTV.
Seven weirs in the Swartkoppies stream and eleven dams offer discerning fly fishermen a paradise. Catch and release in all dams except for one. Fly tackle is available for hire. Float tubes and kick boats are welcome.
Mountain biking is also a popular sport in and around Machado Stud Lodge.

Directions
From the N4 take the R36 to Nelspruit via Schoemanskloof/Lydenburg. After 6 km turn onto the Goedewil dirt road. Follow the road for 500 m and turn left at the Machado Stud Farm road sign, travel 4 km to the farm entrance.
