Kwalucia Private Safari Retreat is the first 5 star Bed and Breakfast Guesthouse nestled in the beautiful village of St Lucia, the only private village in Southern Africa to be completely surrounded by a Natural World Heritage Site.

At Kwalucia Private Safari Retreat we tailor make each accommodation booking to create an experience perfectly suited to your desires and requirements, children above 12 year are welcome.

Kwalucia Private Safari Retreat has 4 exclusive African style en-suite rooms, all of which have private patio leading onto a romantic tropical garden. All suites are equipped with bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, ceiling fans, wall safe, hairdryer and WiFi access point.

All bathrooms are equipped with a large walk-in shower, toilet, a hand-wash basin and a relaxing Victorian free standing bath. Shaving plugs are available - all in a beautiful unique open plan African styled design.

At Kwalucia Private Safari Retreat your country style breakfast is served in the dining area or on your private patio. Dinners are served on request.

At this romantic retreat, all our guests have access to a large lit with rim flow. A well designed sundeck awaits you for the lazy afternoons.

Directions

From DURBAN -  (+- 245 kms/2.5H drive) - Take the N2 North; you have the option of the toll road or the alternate route via Stanger. 40 kms after the turn off to Richards Bay, turn right to Mtubatuba. As you arrived in Mtubatuba turn left than 2nd right to St Lucia (R618 +- 26 kms). As you arrived in St Lucia, just after the bridge 1st left and than 2 times right;  you are in Pelican Street, there you take the 2nd right.

From JOHANNESBURG -  (+- 640 kms/6.5H drive). - Take the N17 via Springs to Ermelo. From Ermelo take the N2 and past Piet Retief, Pongola, Mkhuze and Hluhluwe. Continue South along the N2 and take the turn off left to Mtubatuba and St Lucia. As you arrived in Mtubatuba turn left to St Lucia (R618 +- 26 kms). As you arrived in St Lucia, just after the bridge 1st left and than 2 times right; you are in Pelican Street, there you take the 2nd right.
