Where wild animals roam free and birds are in abundance, you will find our bed and breakfast Guest Lodge, situated on our beautiful scenic farm – Fountainhill Estate.

Fountainhill Guest Lodge is a very comfortable and luxurious 4 Star B&B guest lodge. With two family suites sleeping nine people in total, and two other luxury suites, you can be assured of quality accommodation.

We offer comfortable beds, fitted with fine percale linen, fluffy soft towels and robes, luxury amenities in the bathrooms, and a fully stocked tea tray. Our country-style diningroom offers great breakfasts to start your day. All suites have lounge areas with DSTV.

Apart from our lodge, we also offer two fully fitted, self catering, luxury cottages.

Bordered by the Umgeni river, the Hlambamasoka Private Game Reserve is part of our farm, and encompasses over 1600 hectares of unspoiled, peaceful bush, indigenous forest, and grassland. Game viewing on open game vehicle in our reserve is particularly rewarding, as there is abundant game, including wildebeest, giraffe, kudu, zebra and many others. The bird life here is profuse, and incredibly varied.

Travelling from Johannesburg on the N3. Approaching Pietermaritzburg take the Church St/Greytown off ramp. Turn LEFT on top of ramp and keep RIGHT. (If travelling from Durban take the Church St/Greytown off-ramp and turn RIGHT, and then keep RIGHT). Continue up the hill through 2 more sets of traffic lights, passing the Northway Mall on your LEFT. Turn RIGHT at the next traffic lights (KFC will be on your left) into the R33 Greytown road. Continue on this road for about 13 kms. Turn RIGHT onto the R614 Wartburg Road and continue for about 12.5 kms. Turn RIGHT into Fountainhill Estate . (You will see our green and white Fountainhill Guest Lodge sign on the right, and immediately afterwards, the brown and white Hlambamasoka Game reserve sign on your left. Look out for 4 flag poles, and turn RIGHT in through the gate. Sign in at the thatched guard house, and the security guard will direct you.)
