Agulhas House offers bed and breakfast accommodation that is nestled in the centre of the village of Umkomaas, a mecca for scuba divers and water sports enthusiasts alike. The main diving area is Aliwal Shoal and is rated consistently as one of the top ten diving sites in the world.

Set back from the road in tranquil grounds, the creatively renovated building offers 10 en-suite rooms, all with their own entrance from the main entrance hallway, and six of which have private patio areas.

The property is security fenced with an automated gate thus providing secure off the road parking. Each room has an independent alarm system, coupled with the added security of staff being onsite 24 hours a day, you really can sit back and relax.

We are able to take advantage of the sub-tropical climate by dining ‘al fresco’ under the cover of a large thatched gazebo that forms the centrepiece for the garden. A large C shaped 13m swimming pool, which has a deep end of 3m, is ideal for all diving enthusiasts and hugs the gazebo. Pool loungers are provided for you to sit by the pool and soak up the Durban sunshine.
 
The underwater pool lighting and subtle garden lights provide a truly tropical island atmosphere to the place after dark. Plus the guests lounge enables guests to avoid adverse weather and, with TV, is a meeting point for rugby etc

Directions

From Durban - Take N2 South, approx 50km from Durban. Take Umkomaas turn off. Left towards the sea. 1st stop street is a four way stop - go straight. 3rd road Right into Brad St. 2nd Right into Barrow St. Driveway is between the Standard Bank and the Doctors Surgery on the right hand side.
