Plumbago B&B is a peaceful guesthouse situated in Leisure Bay – an unspoilt enclave on the lower South Coast of KwaZulu Natal.

A charming and comfortable home away from home, easily accessible from the N2, it offers the perfect stop over en-route between the Cape and KwaZulu Natal.

It is simple and unassuming, comfortable and intimate, just as a beloved home should be. There is no reception area, you are welcome the minute you walk through the front door. This is a home where strangers quickly turn into friends, and to which people return regularly. Like any good home, it offers you both privacy and sociability. We are a child friendly establishment that has been our family home for years, and has always been filled with great stories and a wonderful tranquility.


The house is surrounded by an beautiful indigenous garden of coastal vegetation, which bears testimony to owners Mick and Libby Goodall’s passion for the outdoors. It has been developed over 16 years and is truly a nature lovers paradise. Just a few hundred metres from the beach you can enjoy the hospitality of friendly hosts or recharge your batteries in this private, relaxed environment.

Directions

Take the N2 South of Durban towards Port Shepstone - Continue on the R61 towards Port Edward. Turn off at Torquay Avenue/Leisure Bay exit. The road forks, keep left. Approximately 1 km on, turn left into St Ives Avenue 9 a dirt road. Plumbago Guest House is 200 m ahead, on the right.
