Clivia Hill, situated on Bell Park Dam in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu-Natal, offers self-catering or bed & breakfast accommodation in a tranquil and scenically beautiful setting.

The thatched guest cottage comprises a living area with open-plan kitchen and three double bedrooms, each with its own bath- or shower-room adjacent or en suite. The two upper bedrooms open onto a balcony offering scenic views through 180 degrees.

All the rooms are equipped with wall heaters for cold winter nights and ceiling fans and mosquito burners for summer.

The living area, which has DSTV and a log fireplace, opens onto a private shaded porch with a built-in braai and a Weber.  Stone steps lead down through an indigenous rockery into an extensive clivia-filled garden from which a gate gives direct access to the dam, where a two-seater canoe is available for hire.

Bed linen and bedding are provided at Clivia Hill, but no towels or sports gear. Guests must bring their own towels, food, drinks and whatever sports or recreational equipment they require.

From Johannesburg - Take the N3 south toward Durban. At Harrismith, take Exit 29 to Bethlehem on the N5. After 3 km take the R712 left to Phuthatitjhaba. After 8 kms take the R74 left to Bergville. Continue over the Oliviershoek Pass, through Bergville to Winterton.Take the R600 right to Central Berg. After 13 km continue through the cross road to Central Berg. After 5 km take the D53 right to Bell Park Dam. After 6 km look for the Clivia Hill entrance sign on the right.

From Durban- Take the N3 to Johannesburg. Approx. 97 km north of Pietermaritzberg take the Estcourt North offramp.Take the left option to Loskop. 30 km from the offramp take a left into the R600 to Central Berg. After 5 km take the D53 right to Bell Park Dam. After 6 km look for the Clivia Hill entrance sign on the right.
