The Elephant Coast is a very special slice of Africa incorporating the World Heritage Site of isiMangaliso Wetland Park (St. Lucia Wetland Park) which offers visitors some of the most diverse wildlife and outdoor experiences imaginable. This entire coastline including the surrounding big 5 game reserves is known as the Elephant Coast.

It is in this setting that African Ambience is situated, St. Lucia village,is known as the gateway to the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park. Leopard and hippo roam the streets of St. Lucia village at night and bush-babies as well as other nocturnal animal life are found in abundance.

African Ambience is a newly built guesthouse designed to provide you with comfort, space and privacy you wouldn’t expect from a 4 star graded establishment. The guest house is set in a lush tropical garden bordering the nature reserve of St. Lucia Wetland Park.

African Ambience is surrounded by tranquil Koi ponds and water-features, creating the ideal ambience for total relaxation whether in or out of doors.

Directions

From the N2 highway take the Mtubatuba turnoff marked R618 & follow the signage to St.Lucia (appr. 28 kms.) Once over the bridge, turn right at the T-Junction into Mc Kenzie Street (the main road in St. Lucia), continue past the Spar Supermarket on your left, past the thatched fruit market on your right & at the next round a bout, veer left into Albacore Rd & left at the second street. We are the first house on the left (thatched roof) No 124 Pelikaan Street.
