The Clements Retreat self catering accommodation venue is set in the tranquility of the Magaliesberg Valley. With a kilometre of riverside on the Magalies River, we are only about an hour’s drive from Rustenburg, Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Clements Retreat has 3 self catering accommodation options. Each is beautifully appointed and offers unbeatable value for money.The West Wing chalet is very private with an en-suite bathroom. The De la Rey Farmhouse has 3 bedrooms and can sleep six. The Clements House is the most luxurious option, sleeping eight.

We enjoy 46 hectares of country space - trails through bush and savannah down to the river. Complete privacy.  For the active there are plenty of attractions nearby - Big 5 game viewing, horse riding, microlight aeroplane flights, mountain climbing, golf, quad bikes, canopy tour, elephant and monkey sanctuary, cheese factory, archery and many others. 

The farm is situated in the Hartebeestfontein Conservancy, winner of the Meerkat Award for the Top Conservancy in 2008.

From Johannesburg -  From the concrete N1 highway take the 14th Avenue offramp. Head west down Hendrick Potgieter, past the R28 (freeway from Krugersdorp to Pretoria) all the way to the T junction which joins the R563. Turn right past Oaktree, take the right fork (left goes to Ventersdorp) to Hekpoort.  Climb up over the mountain and down into the Magalies Valley. Pass the Bekker Skole turnoff. At the T junction turn right into the R560. About one kilometre up the road turn left onto the dirt road at the Hartebeestfontein sign. Carry on for about a kilometre to a single car bridge. 300 metres up the hill turn left. There are signs at the corner. Keep straight on past the houses (do not turn up the hill towards the mountain) until the green gates between stone pillars faces you.  This is HH6, aka Clements Retreat.
