Glenburn Lodge

Glenburn Lodge is situated in the newly declared World Heritage Site, the Cradle of Humankind, only 30 minutes from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Glenburn Lodge is a proud gold class member of the Heritage Environmental Rating Programme.

The area was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999, and is known as the Cradle of Humankind. The 48 000 hectare area is of outstanding universal value as it contains a complex of palaeo anthropological sites, which have yielded some of the most valuable evidence, world wide, of the origins of modern humans. Embedded in the rocks, are the fossilized remains of hominids, animals, plants and pollen dating back over 3.3 million years.
