The 4 Star Homestead Guesthouse offers child friendly bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of the petrochemical industry of South Africa, but with the nostalgic feel of the Free State countryside. We are only 45 minutes from Johannesburg and a few minutes from the Big Three of the Vaal Triangle: Sasolburg, Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging.

The en-suite bedrooms are well-equipped, with a comfortable working area in each room. We offer sleeping bags and camping beds to children at a reasonable tariff. Hearty, but healthy, breakfasts are served each morning: dinners are on request. We also cater for functions (kitchen teas, birthday parties, year ends, etc.).

There are Meeting Facilities for small groups and a Coffee Shop, with a menu to offer something exciting for the whole family. We also have a Gift Shop.

From East Rand
Take the N12 Bloemfontein/Kimberley off ramp. Turn left on the R59 South: Alberton (South) and Vereeniging. Keep on this road for 48 Km toward Meyerton/Vereeniging. Pass the Klip River and the Blockhouse 1-Stop. Meyerton on your left and Samancor on the right are landmarks to look out for. Keep on going straight and you should reach Vaalpark within the next 30 Km/15 min. Do not turn into Vereeniging, and ignore the Vanderbijlpark off ramp. About 18 Km from Sasolburg you will go over the Vaal River and Sasol’s pipes will be right ahead of you. The road changes to a dual carriage way and Vaalpark is on your right hand side. The road makes a wide turn to the right. and the turn off is within 500 m. Take the Sasolburg/Paardeberg/Naledi/Vaalpark off ramp. Turn right at the 3-way stop/robot. Turn right at the 4-way stop/robot.

***Drive down Oliviershoek Road until you see the Caltex garage. Turn left as if going in to the garage, but immediately turn left and find The Homestead main entrance.
