The Lodge offers the peace and tranquillity of a beautiful African rural setting in a comfortable home with all modern amenities.

Olifantskop Lodge Bed and Breakfast is situated among the foothills of the Zuurberg Mountain Range near Addo. The Lodge is set in a beautiful garden setting and offers excellent bird watching. Its rustic charm will keep you coming back year after year.

Olifantskop Lodge is an ideal base from which to explore the neighbouring towns of Alicedale, Paterson and Addo including the many game parks with their spectacular scenery and rich vegetation. These parks are a haven to the Big Five as well as a large variety of other wildlife.

The list of Game Parks includes the famous Addo National Park,  Amakhala Game Reserve, Schotia Safaris and Bushman Sands Game Reserve just outside Alicedale. Animals that Guests will be able to view at these parks include the recently reintroduced African Wild Dog, Addo Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Lions, Hippo and Giraffe to mention a few.

The Eastern Cape region is MALARIA FREE and offers tourists a unique opportunity to view a large amount of game in a very short period of time.

Facilities

Tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fan, radio, safe and toiletries, undercover parking. An English breakfast is served in the morning and on request a traditional evening braai can be enjoyed overlooking the beautiful valley below.

Directions

From Port Elizabeth. Follow the N2 to Grahamstown. At the Ncanaha (Nanaga) interchange take the N10 to Cradock; follow the road until you come to the Alicedale turn-off (11kms north of Paterson). Turn right, you will immediately see our gate to Olifantskop Lodge on your right, turn in and follow the road up to the Lodge.
From Cradock. Traveling from Cradock on the N10 to Paterson. Once over the Olifantskop Pass you will see the Alicedale sign, turn left onto the gravel road. At the turn-off you will immediately see our gate on the right-hand side, turn in and follow the road up to the Lodge.
