Blanco Guest Farm, a registered Nature Reserve, is situated deep in the heart of the Eastern Cape interior, nestled at the base of the Winterberg Mountains. Blanco is warm and friendly and its unique formula makes it the ideal family getaway for those who want to enjoy a farm holiday with a wide range of outdoor and nature pursuits. It’s equally perfect for those who simply want to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of life away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The accommodation is in cosy, rustic cottages which are situated within the gardens around the main house. There is a choice of twin or three bedded rooms or two bed-roomed cottages. All are serviced daily and have private bathrooms.

The main lounge is roomy and comfortable and is ideal for relaxing or reading. It is very popular in winter with its roaring log fire. There is a separate TV lounge and a well stocked library.
Blanco caters especially for children of all ages - there are tractor-cart rides to be had, farm animals to be fed and nannies to help out.

Directions

Blanco Guest Farm is a registered Nature Reserve situated 14 km from Tarkastad, 269 km, from East London and 320km from Port Elizabeth.
From Port Elizabeth, travel North on the N2 and then take the R32 to Cookhouse. At Cookhouse continue through to Cradock. Approximately 1 km before Cradock, take the Queenstown/Tarkastad turnoff. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a boom. Go through the boom. Directly after the boom, the road splits, take the right split and follow the Blanco signs. Drive for approximately 3 kilometres on a gravel road and you will reach the Guest Farm.
